A clearer way to read a supplement label.
Serving size, ingredient forms, and the details worth a second look.
By the SentiLeaf editorial team · Educational overviewA label is a useful place to start. Read the serving size before comparing amounts, since one serving can include several capsules. The Supplement Facts panel identifies nutrients and amounts; the other ingredients list can help you identify capsule materials and additives.
Start with three questions
- How many capsules or softgels make one serving?
- What ingredients and amounts does that serving contain?
- Are there ingredients you need to avoid or discuss with your clinician?
Supplements can interact with medicines. Keep a list of what you take and review it with a qualified healthcare professional.
